Frequently Asked Questions

Q:  How long does it take to get the cards I ordered in the mail?
A:  I usually ship cards on Mondays and Saturdays via USPS first class mail.  Once shipped, orders typically arrive in 3 to 7 days.  Keep in mind the post office can be slow at times.  Packages taking more than 7 days is uncommon, but it does happen now & then.  Feel free to e-mail to check the status of your order.  For orders outside the United States, expect to get your cards anywhere from 5 to 20 days.  Also, please understand this is a sole proprietorship, meaning, this is a 1 person operation.  If I get sick, or go on vacation, or have a family emergency, the shipping time may be longer.  When possible, I will post a message below if I am away.

Q:  How will my order be shipped?
A:  We have two different shipping methods:

  • Standard - Your cards will be mailed to you either by First class, or Priority Mail via USPS in a minumum of a bubble mailer. Tracking, and/or insurance confirmation numbers will be provided to you when your order is shipped.
  • Economy - You can select this option if you are buying 5 or less cards that have a total value of $5.00.  This option is provided to allow collectors to maximize value on their smaller purchases.  Your cards will be shipped in the most secure way possible in a PWE (Plain White Envelope) or better.  

Q:  How much does shipping cost?
A:  Shipping is dependent on the amount of your order.  See the table below to accurately estimate your shipping charges:

Q:  How can I pay you?
A:  You may pay by cash, check, money order through the mail.  For your convenience, we also accept Paypal, Google Checkout payments (best for e-checks or American Express), as well as standard Visa, MasterCard and Discover payments through our Authorize.net account.  Please note, as the 'ole saying goes, I am not responsible for lost cash in the mail.

Q:  Can you scan the cards for me so I know what they look like?
A:  Unfortunately I do not have the time to scan every card, sorry.  All cards valued for sale over $2.00 will minimally have their face scanned.  Cards that have unique features on both sides will be scanned front and back.

Q:  What is the difference between the 1989 Upper Deck Ken Griffey, Jr. rookie card and the 1989 Topps Traded Griffey rookie card?
A:  The 1989 Upper Deck Griffey ($40) is more rare and therefore has a higher price tag than the 1989 Topps Traded Griffey ($4).  However, both cards are rookie cards.  Neither is more of a rookie card than the other.  This is true of many other rookie cards as well.  Some brands are worth more than others, due to demand and scarcity of a particular brand.

Q:  Do you buy or trade cards?
A:  I prefer to buy rather than trade.  Here is my baseball card wishlist:

  • Any Ken Griffey, Jr. cards limited to less than 25
  • 2009 Upper Deck Ken Griffey, Jr. #855 (Including all variants besides 2006) in PSA 10 or BGS 9.5 (or better) condition
  • Any vintage Topps Mickey Mantle or Hank Aaron cards in Fair or better condition

Q:  How do I know I will receive my cards once you receive my payment?
A:  If this is a concern to you, I understand.  I kindly ask you to view my 100% feedback rating on eBay.  Once there, you can read all the transactions I've done on eBay and people's responses to the transactions. 

Q:  Are all of your cards in Mint condition?
A:  The condition of each card is specified on each page.  Keep in mind, I am not an expert grader.  I do look at each card I sell, and I grade it by eyeballing it, checking the corners, making sure it's free of stains and creases, etc.  Professional graders spend enormous amounts of time meticulously studying each card they grade.  They charge a fee for their service and rightfully so.  Since I am not a professional grader, and I do not charge a fee for grading, I will not be held liable if my non-professional grade does not match up with a professional's grade if you submit your card for grading.  However, if the card does not meet your condition standards before you submit it for grading, you may send the card back to me for a full refund, and I will pay for postage as well.

Q:  Do you have any other players besides the ones listed on your page?
A:  Absolutely!  E-mail and let me know which player you're looking for and I'll let you know what I have.

Q:  Can you tell me how much this particular card(s) I have is worth?
A:  I get asked this question more often than any other question combined, and unfortunately, I usually do not have the time to answer your specific request.  There are sites on the Internet that sell price guides.  You could visit your local card dealer (look in your yellow pages under "sports cards" or "sports memorabilia") and show them your card(s) in person, and they might be able to tell you its value.  I wouldn't recommend calling though, since some dealers get swarmed with these calls and it's a time consuming process and doesn't generate any money for their time.  Ditto if you email dealers.

Q:  I'm looking for some cards to complete my set.  Can you help me?
A:  All of my cards are sorted by players, not by year/brand/card #.  Unfortunately I don't have boxes of commons like most dealers do, instead I've organized ALL of my cards by players.  I do, however, have a wonderful "Search" feature, in which you can search for the year, brand and card #, and it will show you what matches those parameters.

Q:  Do you give discounts?
A:  Occasionally some cards go on sale.  Other than that, any sales that are taking place will be listed on the homepage.

Q:  How do I get my cards graded?
A:  There are many grading companies out there that will grade your cards for a fee.  The most popular are:  PSA and BGS.

Q:  Do you have any graded cards for sale?
A:  I will have a few graded cards on the site.  They will have their own section, but when they're gone, they're gone.
